Midnight Grid Pendant

Handcrafted by the artist, Ivan Midzic, each piece reflects a practice spanning jewelry and fine art.

Alternating bands of brushed aluminum and oxidized black aluminum are handwoven into a bold architectural composition inspired by modernist grids and woven textiles. The interplay of light and shadow across the contrasting metals creates remarkable visual depth, giving the pendant a different character from every viewing angle while celebrating the beauty of precision handcrafted construction.

The pendant is suspended from a handcrafted brushed aluminum circular collar measuring approximately 5⅞ inches (15 cm) in diameter, finished with a simple artisan hook clasp that complements the clean architectural design.

Raw metals are used in their natural state, with the marks of making intentionally preserved. A light protective coating is applied; subtle tonal shifts may occur depending on skin chemistry and environment.

Variations in form and finish are inherent—and part of what makes each piece unique.
