About Collected Abroad
Collected Abroad began with a simple idea: the most meaningful objects are often discovered while traveling.
What started as a journey through markets, artisan workshops, and creative studios has evolved into a curated collection of wearable art, textiles, and objects selected for their craftsmanship, authenticity, and enduring beauty.
Each collection begins with a story. An artist encountered. A studio visited. A tradition preserved. Every piece is chosen for its beauty and for the people, places, and creative practices behind it.
Our inaugural collections features the work of Croatian artist Ivan Midzic, whose sculptural jewelry reflects a practice spanning both fine art and wearable design. The Silk Road Atelier celebrates the artistry of Uzbek designer Umida Kabilova whose hand finished adras silk caftans are created in limited artian quantities in Bukhara. The Andean Loom will showcase handwoven textiles created by women artisans in the Peruvian Andes.
Future collections will introduce textile artists, makers, and craftspeople discovered through ongoing travels across South America, India, Europe, Central Asia, and beyond.
Collected Abroad is not simply a store. It is an evolving collection of stories, craftsmanship, and cultural discovery—shared through objects made by hand and selected with intention.
