Lyabi Lyric Pair
Description
Bring the artistry of the Silk Road into your home with pillow covers handcrafted exclusively for Collected Abroad in the atelier of master artisan Umida Kabilova in historic Bukhara, Uzbekistan.
Each pillow cover begins with authentic handwoven silk ikat, where every thread is resist-dyed before weaving using techniques refined over centuries. Because every length of ikat is unique, Umida personally hand-cuts each cover to showcase the textile's most beautiful motifs, ensuring no two are ever exactly alike.
Both the front and back feature the same luxurious silk ikat, allowing these pillows to be admired from every angle. Invisible hidden zippers preserve the clean, tailored silhouette while expert finishing reflects the exceptional craftsmanship of Umida's atelier.
Every pillow cover is made individually after your order is placed, not pulled from inventory. This slow, artisan process allows each piece to be carefully cut, matched, sewn, inspected, and finished to museum-quality standards.
Each pillow cover arrives with a beautifully designed Collected Abroad Artisan Provenance Card, individually hand-numbered as part of a limited edition, identifying the textile and acknowledging its creation in Umida Kabilova's atelier.
